I thought that was headed for a blow-out scoreline, but fair play to Wigan - once JWH helped them wake up with his incessant shithousery, they evened things up and it was a good game. Tip of the hat to young Greenwood - he seemed to take on the role of putting Hargreaves back in his box, and he did a decent job of it.
The Roosters got away with murder at the ruck - which didn't help Wigan - they couldn't get a quick ptb even when they'd earned it.
Class showed in the end, but it was a decent contest and the result pretty much reflected the game; well done Wigan - no shame in that result.
Agree with your final sentence, the rest is just subjective.
To be fair, for once AS108 is bang on the money. Had the roosters been at full strength and played a few games I am certain we would have been looking at a record score.
Undoubtedly, the Roosters at full strength, with a few more games would have been an even tougher prospect. But, in the game we were all watching, aside from Wigan's disastrous 10 minute start, it was 2 tries each over the remaining 70 minutes. Opening 10 mins, perhaps a record score, but for the vast majority of the match ie. 7/8 ths of the game, no way at all. So AS108's attempt to put my opinion down has little credence, like much of the other tripe he posts on here.

If Latrell Mitchell had played left centre, with Brett Morris in Matthew Ikuvalu's wing position, then the Roosters score would have been higher.

And had Wigan taken the 3 or 4 clear cut chances they had in the 2nd half we'd be looking at a Wigan win. As I remember, in the game that actually took place, they didn't, so we're not.
I believe that once the Roosters are at full strength (add Latrell Mitchell and Angus Crichton) and at peak fitness, they will turn out to be one of the greatest club sides ever assembled anywhere in the world.
I will be watching them play in the NRL this year.
Well done to Wigan to keep the margin to 12 points.

Not sure how good the roosters turn out to be will affect the mighty Trin, but does it mean you'll spend very little time in Chorley or Carcassonne this season unless your planning to rack up plenty of air miles.
If we’d have had Manfredi and Burgess available, if we’d had Liam Farrell for a full game, if we were allowed to spend three times more then we currently are on salaries blah blah blah then we may have done better.
We can all play that game. It was a fair result and we move on. We had some things in our favour but the Roosters had plenty in theirs.

I have both a television subscription and a streaming service on my computer. That is how I manage to see NRL games.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..
