Just goes to show there is not a lot in it between ourselves and Oldham judged on the respective scorelines against the Hurricanes.

I'm a little worried by the number of points we're conceding though.

28:38 v Workington (-10)
24-32 v Rochdale (-8)
16-50 v Oldham (-34)
14-42 v N Wales (-28)
38-20 v London (+18)
26-54 v Dons (-28)

We matched N Wales score but didn't do as well as Oldham. Conceding 18 points or more against teams in the bottom half is a worry.

I was just updating the post when you snuck in DM. Are we capable of going to Oldham and playing to our full ability for eighty mins and not switching off, I would love to think that this group of players can do that, win at Oldham and everything is back on track

I think a big positive this season is that our forwards are better than before. We can get on top of teams down the middle. If we can do that against Oldham and Hunslet, we've got every chance of beating them.

We just have to be careful when other sides start to get quick play-the-balls as that is where we seem vulnerable. I'm sure Oldham will test us in that area. Our fate is in our own hands - which is a good place to be!

Having listened and read the Oldham reports they do love a quick play of the ball and like to think their ruck speed is the best.
