| I see Hull city's players weren't paid on time this month and they could be relegated this time next week which will hardly improve their situation.
Given that our owners appear to be richer than theirs, I wonder how this will play out with the smc? I think the smc owes a lot of money to city courtesy of how the allams operated so if city get into financial trouble then maybe the lease is forfeit and up for grabs. If it was I'm sure thirkill would have to be interested.
I also heard that acun had been arrested in turkey or something but don't know any details

| number 6:may explain some of their dire performances at home if they are being paid late....or maybe they are just I'd read on twitter that the players have already been told if they're wanted or not for next season. Half of them probably not even trying knowing they haven't got a contract coming, although in reality they should be at least playing for a deal elsewhere

| It’s a genuine question as I have no idea about how it all works but what would be the advantage of having the SMC for our owners personally? Didn’t think it was a massive money spinner (especially if as the original posters states they owe City money) or does it all hinge on the proposed development? I remember the spat between AP and the Allam’s when they controlled it but that aside I don’t think anyone’s ever really fought over it.
FWIW City will stay up it’s in their own hands against a side with nothing to play for so the immediate problems might not be so bad but looks like their wage bill is a lot higher then the team on the pitch are performing that’s usually when things start to go Pete Tong financially so it’s something that will eventually have an impact on us given the ground share situation.

City reportedly losing £1/2m a week The benefit to us is control over where we play. Currently we get 2nd dibs on everything and have no surety of tenancy beyond next year as far as we all know

| Not sure how much of a realistic option our owners taking over the smc is but it would be funny to see a total role reversal in that respect.
Don’t pay too much attention to what is happening at City, other than results and table, but surprised they are that much in trouble financially given they get over 20k every home game?
Do they give that many ‘free’ tickets away?

| I think they probably announce how many people have paid for the game, including pass holders not present but there do appear to be a lot of empty seats in South and East Stands when you watch their games on TV. No surprise as their home form is on a par with ours

liabilities were nearly £80m last june and I doubt they've gone down. The smc owe the football club £26m in group loans. I know the owner has a few quid but not sure how wealthy he is

Currently we get 2nd dibs on everything and have no surety of tenancy beyond next year as far as we all know Yeah obviously it would be a no brainer from a strictly club/supporters perspective but that’s why I said owners personally, I imagine it would be a significant cost to them that’s why I’m genuinely interested if it would make sense to them long term as I have no idea of the arrangement/cost controlling the SMC is to Cities owners. Unless he’s just been very coy we can only go off what AT has said publicly, I was surprised that the stadium situation didn’t seem that much of a big deal when questioned at the fans forum very much we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it was my impression. Like I say after Saturday it’s probably less of an issue as they’ll likely confirm their championship status, but if they did go do down that wage bill looks staggering big changes will have to happen on and off the field for them something that’s going to effect us one way or another.

| I'm not as convinced as you about city staying up. They can't score goals.
My hypothetical situation was the SMC go bust, forfeiting the lease which would then be available
