No PP..

strong squad regardless, that looks like a working model for the season

fine tuning the starters an all that, looks like a proper useful friendly game if Shudds make it useful with their squad.

Not quite, no Huby or Crowther both of whom I’d expect to see play this season - don’t think you can read much into the selection for friendlies tbh.

PP Played saturday, as did Annakin and Baldwinson. Would be stupid playing the same players on a Saturday followed by a Tuesday in preseason IMO although I see Horo and Reynolds are both there along with Wood who played saturday.

I think this is a very average squad on paper and if this is the best line up you have you're in for a rough season imo.

Come on lads take your Wakey caps off, compare it position vs position against our team and you have to admit you're lacking in quality?

Fullback McIntosh vs Hampshire -McIntosh beats him in every aspect of playing fullback
Wing Uate vs Johnstone - Uate 200+ games in the NRL and played for numerous rep sides vs Johnstones friendly against France?
Centre Turner vs Tupou - Turner is a SL and NRL star who was also called up for the 2017 all stars team. Where was Tupou?
SO Gaskell vs Miller - Gaskell is an ex St Helens star with more pace, flare and knowledge than Miller.
SH Frawley vs Brough - I made my opinion known a few days ago, Brough was rubbish for most the time he was with us so i can't imagine he's going to be any match for one of the most highly rated half backs from AUS.
Prop Matagi vs Fifita Answer me this quesiton, who actually made something out of himself in the NRL? Matagi is so much better going forward, a better defender and gives away less penalties. he's also not 3 stone heavier than he should be.
Second row Ukuma Ta'ai vs Ashurst - Again Ukuma is an ex NRL star who has also made something of himself in SL with 160+ appearances, Ashurst is just a penalty machine.
Loose Ikahihifo vs Randell - Seb is a blockbusting forward who could also play at halfback for a game and not look out of place. Randell is so overrated it's funny.

See, point proven. You literally have to agree with me and if I'm spotting this as a 19 year old lad who's only been watching rugby a few year then you lot need to wake up and realise the game isnt what it used to be.
