I wonder if he spoke to Hall regarding a similar move which if we are honest set his career back. I know that with regards Hall it was the decision of our Director of Rugby at the time to do the swap not the player because he was the one most wanted by KR. With regards Hall he had experienced playing at SL level Booth has not.
The progression appears to be from us to KR then on loan to Castleford.

Why don't you believe our club has faith in the new signing?
It's not like we were forced to sign him?

I'm certain he's not going straight in the first team but they must see something

I guess time will tell but I will be surprised if he is with us next season which is just my opinion.

With us only offering him a 1 year contract, and the likes of Pratt, Lingard amd smith 3/4 years I think that tells you where Powell and Mills sees Booth. For me that’s for him to fire on and show what he’s got as Pratt and co have shown that in bucket fulls.
KR have seen something in him and slapped a 4 year deal on him. Time will tell if he will turn into a good /quality regular SL player. I’m pretty sure if Powell saw the same he’d of got a long term deal.

I believe HKR are honouring the season long loan at Hunslet for Booth

Tchamambe has been disappointing for Rovers. When you look at his physique you think he looks the part but he doesn't run with any conviction and you end up shouting at him to give it a bit more. He has never come close to making the first team and when Lee Kershaw was signed as a back up to wingers Tom Davies and Joe Burgess it was obvious the writing was on the wall for Tchamambe.

I'll be surprised if Neil Tchamambe makes the grade at Trinity or any other Super League club.

Isn't this a summary of Hull KR's academy as a whole. Still only Lewis in the expected starting 17 for 2025 and he came through the joint City of Hull academy back in 2019. Rovers failed to get one of the original 10 Elite licences due to poor performance. Subsequently given a probationary one but they still show no signs of changing the policy of buying in ready made guys rather than bringing through their own. Tchamambe is one of many young lads treading water and wasting their time at HKR.

He’s got potential & he has that one thing that players are either gifted with or not, speed. Couple that with his height and athleticism and there’s something to work with

Maybe our S&C Coaches think he’s worth the time and effort to work with him and build his physique into something formidable which might just take him to the next level. If it doesn’t work then we’ve not really lost anything but time and effort, however if he retains his speed and bulks up he could be quite the find

I think this line in the article says it all......
