Where were the wire fans tonight, only 5600 odd in the ground now if you take the 600 off the attendance that leaves 5000,where are all these wonderful fans of there's that they are always going on about, they reckon that they have the best marketing department well not on tonight's performance you ain't we get twice as many as that
They've won 11 out of the last 14 games in SL Clarke or Carney said. It's a Thursday night game with work and school tomorrow and it was live on SKY tv. Maybe those are some of the reasons fans didn't turn up.
Tell you what, I'd wait for tomorrow's crowd before starting a thread like this.
The crowds in the playoffs were a disaster waiting to happen with the potential need to pay for tickets 3-4 weeks running. Add Thursday to the mix and you get what you saw tonight.
Wonder how people paid for 9 games in 17 days 30 years ago? Playing something like saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Went to every one. Loved it! Couldnt afford every game had to 'do a borrow' off my dad at the time... Haha. Happy Days!!
Black eye for the sport; focus shouldn't just be on Wire. An important playoff game with a poor crowd at one of the biggest clubs in the English game clearly highlights a problem which must be resolved. If things don't improve then the powers that be are failing the game through the current implemented structure.
We can poke fun at Wire for this; but personally it makes me sad. I wanna see our game thrive; not this.
