Shaun Lunt has confirmed that he has left Leeds Rhinos and is currently looking at all his options. He confirmed this on West Yorkshire Sport daily with JD on the Rugby League Panel.

McShane? Heard this last week but dismissed it as I thought our less-than-perfect hooker quota was full.

You'd think so. Can't see us going with Dwyer and young Corey, hes a good season or so off yet.

Not sure about McShane. Good player but very cheaty. One thing we need to get rid of is the silly penalties from individual players (Ferres, JJB spring to mind).

I get the sinking feeling he'll get another stay of execution and another year contract.

I thought Lunt did a decent job, considering his issues with injury. He solidified the middle (which Dwyer couldn't do) and from what I hear was a good influence in the dressing room on the younger pros. Hope he gets something going forward - he's still got a lot to offer in the right setting.

Same here though I'm not actually that fussed if he does.

You're right - he did a decent job. But a top hooker could bring us so much more.
That's not to say we're signing one, mind...
