No need and no point to changing the halfbacks, Mortimer on bench giving Hood a breather from the 30th minute to the 50th which is a 35 minute rest.

Neil, this was only a suggestion ,to accommodate Morty,I think he's to good not to be included in the starting 17 if he's fit,and I said do it in the Fax game, no way would do it against London,Toronto,Fev ,Toulouse, Toronto again, and Batley,add to these games the Salford Cup game,all very difficult games.
However experiments do sometimes work, a couple of seasons ago I suggested putting Sam Tomkins at half back,some laughed, Wigan listened, and the rest is History







for me nobody has a secure place,we need every able bodied troop in the coming weeks , very little margin for mistakes,Hood has to keep his place , Mickey H is popular but for me Morty when fit must be included.

Mortimer must be included based on what ?? Looked a cracking signing when he first came, but little other than long term injuries since. In all honesty he needs to fight for his place - none of the hookers or h/b deserve to be dropped at the moment, injuries or resting Higham will give him his chance, up to him after that

As you rightly say Morty hasn't made that many appearences, and has been very unlucky with injuries,but I'm basing my opinion on the games he has played,one in particular Fev away last season when he was very good,to be able to fight for his place he needs a chance to play and prove his fitness, and the only way to do this is by either Hood or Higham making way for him , unless of course he plays in the Halves.
I've said before these are only my humble opinions of course,and a point to be discussed on here as all other points and opinions are,if you don't agree it's your perogative,I don't expect everyone to.
It's the same as not changing a winning team unless you are forced to do so, which is all well and good, but our previous opponents have not exactly been stretching our game play, no disrespect to them.I watched the Toronto v Swinton game last night,and to be honest Toronto were scoring at will ,at times,and recently they have had a few new faces in the team, I'm sure Matty Russell will feature against us at Blackpool.As I said though I'm happy with 2 points every week ,hopefully 2 more today, but the hard games are in front of us , not behind us.Have a good day in the sun.

To be honest, the fixtures for finishing 4th are potentially better than finishing 1st (other than the extra away game !)
