| If you do a search for "Doncaster" or "Keepmoat" on RLFANS there seems to be a number of references to our potential soon to be homeless Super League cousins Wakefield and Castleford speculating about temporary moves to The Keepmoat while their Pipedream Parks are built.
Not heard anything from our end, and if anything SMC already think The Keepmoat pitch has too many games a year on it, so I can only assume it is speculation/wishful thinking at best. Also can't imagine O'Driscoll even entertaining it for a moment

| Yes, i have seen the word Keepmoat turning up on a few forums. I assume this is idle speculation. I wouldn't like see another team moving in, but if they did who would have priority for Sunday afternoons. Having said that i don't think either Cas or Wakey will be getting a new stadium...

I think the exact quote was something along the lines of "We need to be playing at a facility like the Keepmoat", I don't think for one minute they'd entertain playing here.

The Wakefield link seems to have been around for some months now but Castleford is a more recent suggestion. As you say, the opposition to any proposed move would certainly include how the Rovers would view it all.

| Was the Keepmoat Stadium paid for by the council tax payers of Doncaster?

| It was paid for by sale of council assets on the whole, so indirectly yes.
However their argument would be that therefore it is in the best interest for the Stadium to get as many companies putting money into the Stadium as possible to give a better return on the public investment.

| Surely the best use of our council tax is the promotion and success of any Doncaster based sporting club, and we should not be concerned with any one from any other town. I wish Wakey well, but their stadium requirements are not the problem of the Borough of Doncaster.
