Player does not adopt grip to apply pressure to neck of opponent as opponent goes to ground. Other tacklers lock player into contact as player demonstrates reasonable efforts to allow opponents head through the tackle.E

Watching itblive it didn't look dangerous.

That's the right decision - there was nothing in it.

It's a difficult one though - I can fully see why it's treated as dangerous contact, as it has the potential for really serious injury; but in an era when many players back into contact in an attempt to enable an offload, I'm not sure how a tackle is to be affected without the attacker ending up in that position?

Perfect example where the on report system works.

Am I right in thinking the alleged complainant was Merrin. He milked the situation for all it was worth, he is nothing more than a cheating H hole and was trying to milk penalties throughout the game. What happened in the end when the ref refused to be conned sums the bloke up in my opinin.

Yup, kind of warmed to Kendall with that one.

Indeed, even though he got duped by Pauli a couple of times, he realised and pinged him towards the end.

One not twice. He missed the blatant strip on Fifita in the first ten minutes so that evened it out. Merrin was at it all night.

With Pauli there was 2 reefs, one of which he was pinged for. There was also that where he won a penalty by running sideways over the prone Leeds tackler to win a pen.

Needs to cut that out, could easily have given away more pens like he did when he first arrived.

Agree re: Merrin. Right grub.

I wouldn't say Merrin is a grub ala Bird or Hock, but he is coming across as a crybaby.

Well, he's come in for some stick right from the get go.
No doubt he's under pressure to be the thing, and getting splattered by Wakey in his/their own backyard has got to bring some special kind of frustration to your playing career.
Not saying that's an excuse but its easy to see how it got away from him.
Anyway, ya can't do that, he got what he asked for and I reckon there's more chance of him going home than him doing that again.
