Good Morning

Please see attached Planning and Highways Committee guidance for speakers. Please ignore the time stated on the guidance note and refer instead to the letter (attached to email) you have previously been sent earlier this week, the time of the Committee will be 11:30 on Thursday 21st February 2019. If you are registered to speak at the committee you can ignore this email.

Kind Regards

Can a member of the trust confirm, that the trust will have a speaker attend this meeting, and the speaker will not allow themself or supporters to be fobbed off, as they were at the Ossett meeting last year, when supporters were advised not to raise points until after the meeting had finished. We need everything to be on record, this will only happen to questions/replies given during the official meeting.
Thank you.

We have requested that the following be permitted to speak :

Jonathan Stone - Chair, Wakefield & District Community Trust
Phil Townsend - SWAG
Mary Creagh MP

This is a Planning Meeting and the Chair will not permit an open debate on the whole Newmarket fiasco so we will focus our objection to the current planning application and why.

I believe it's a public meeting so anyone who wishes to attend is at liberty to do so.

An allotment at Newmarket might be a possibility, once the Council have finished waving through all Yorkcourts planning apps

They likely never started.

Clearly this 'good news' and the Kitwave application are closly linked. This concerns me greatly. I hope I'm wrong but i can well see a token gesture from YC/Box to not kick up the stink this deserves whilst the apllication is decided. i hope Ian, Phil and Jonathan get the opportunity to get the full message heard at the chamber and scare Box's nodding dogs with the words Judicial Review. it might just mean this doesnt get railroaded through without fair recompense.

With the timing of the “good news announcement” and kitwave is obviously linked. It seems we are going to get something but not what we were promised. Trouble is it looks like we will never get what were promised so we have to get the best we can now. Somebody mentioned YC playing the long wait game, sadly we can’t play that game we’ve been playing it for 10 years with YC. At this stage I will be happy is this “good news “ gets us a fit for purpose stadium and all the rumours indicate Belle Vue.

It’s my intention to attend this meeting. Is it possible for someone well versed on these matters, to say if a decision on this application will likely to be announced on the day, or deferred to a later date.
Thank you

Re: STADUIM NEWS UPDATE : Sun Feb 17, 2019 1:52 pm
I'd lay even money that if the Kitwave application gets nodded through then we'll hear some good news more or less straight after. If it doesn't get the nod I suspect any 'good news' will no longer be forthcoming and we'll have another fudge.
