Just received an e mail from Peter Box in response to a number of issues that I raised about the city.

He was objective and courteous and although there were items that we disagreed upon he argued his corner.

The reason that I mention this is because he said that he had spoken to the Trinity chairman today who in turn had thanked Cllr Box for his help.

The word from Cllr Box himself is that there is a statement to be released shortly which should be welcome news for Trinity fans.

I hope that this proves to be the case The tone of his e mail suggested that he was sincere.

Ah, I hoped the welcome news was that he had resigned, or something even better.
Statements from him are gash.
Statements from MC would carry weight. Fingers crossed, (5 each hand)

Was hoping the same myself. Wouldn't trust anything he said. Told me at the council meeting at Ossett Town Hall a short while ago that he had spoken to the club that morning. It turns out be hadn't spoken to them since April!

I expect another vague statement that sounds promising but holds no weight - to appease people while the Kitwave application goes through. Hope I'm wrong. At least he responded, I guess.

I understand the negative comments based upon past experiences but the fact he said the Wakefield chairman had thanked him and that the statement would be welcome news gives me hope that this time we might have something to celebrate.

I would rather drink from a half full glass than a half empty one.
