We must stop been in denial we are in desperate need of a quality fullback for next season.
Shaul, Barber/Lomax, Matuinga (CAS), Walker, Tomlin's, Gigot...
List is endless our fullbacks don't compete with those any hope for a top 4 spot won't happen unless we sign a quality FB. Don't rate Jowett at all and Grix.
Randell, Jowett , Grix , Crowther off the books we can replace with a quality FB.

Compete with all but Barba and maybe Tomkins (and Ratchford not on the list) for me. Also if you ditch players in contract you have to pay them off resulting in no money to replace them with 'quality'.

We lost a game not for the first or last time but when we do it is always the same. I am sure if we checked every post after a loss and the club listened how many of the current squad would we have left.
It was just a game, it would have been nice to win but in the grand scheme of things it did not matter. They actually owe us a favour by being the team that saw them relegated allowing them to rebuild.
I would rather lose in a top 8 game than one in the middle eights so basically just chill.

You really think it's because we lost on Friday. I've thought the same for 2 years. You need pace at the back. It's a pivotal position interlink play it's vital.

I think Annakin would make a great full back.

Just when you’ve heard it all LOL ,why don’t we ask if Ritchie Mathers is available for one game to really rub Max’s nose in it,

What has Max done to cement his place in our team? What has Max done that other fullbacks in the league haven’t?

The only justification from anyone on this forum has been that “he’s one of our young lads”. It doesn’t mean anything, he’s not good enough yet people are blinded because they want him to follow in the footsteps of Johnstone.

I don’t want people to jump and say I’m like the rest, I’d love Max to secure the fullback shirt it would be another success for the club in terms of academy production and would surely benefit the club financially however comparing our fullbacks to other clubs, we’re embarrasingly far behind.

Barba/Coote (who’s replacing Barba at Saints)
Ratchford
Shaul
Mamo
Tomkins
Gigot
QLT

If we want to better ourselves, we need to be critical and improve on areas that are weak.
