I hope we're not taking back damaged goods in the same vein as ST, otherwise a positive signing I'd posit.

Does that confirm Gelling as gone?

Terrible decision by the club, another NRL failure 'due to injuries' and we resign him! Totally underwhelmed by this and we will probably lose Gelling to boot.

I’d hope he’s in addition to keeping Gelling but we’ll see.

I’ve never understood the stick Sarginson got from a section of our support. He’s an excellent utility back option and whilst I’m also fed up of us resigning every ex player that becomes available, we do need a player like Sarginson.

If he’s a replacement for Gelling then I’m underwhelmed, as an addition to the current squad then he’s a good signing. He provides cover and competition for the whole back line.

Assuming that his injury is now fine and he won't be sat on the side lines for the majority of 2018

Not one ex-player has come back and been anywhere near their previous level. Most are shadows of the player they were the first time. A disastrous strategy that has handcuffed the squad and salary cap. Lessons not being learned.

Whoever does our scouting and recruitment should resign.

It is nonsense to argue that because other returnees have failed that Sarginson will therefore fail. That argument defies any kind of logic. Surely each case has to be looked at in isolation.

Sam Tomkins has been injured, but showed good form towards the end of the season. He may move back to the halves and who knows, may provide the answer there.

Joe Burgess had a long spell playing out of position and suffered because the lads playing wing did well and didn't deserve to be dropped. But it affected Budgie badly. I wouldn't write him off yet. He needs a full season on the left wing before we can judge whether he has been a success.

Joel and Tommy have been poor. Joel because he hasn't been fully fit since he returned. I believe that he is still a good player. Tommy may do well in a different role.

So it may be too early to write off the returnees. Dan Sarginson was one of the main reasons we won in 2016. Do people have such short memories? I'd have though that at least he deserves a second chance. I don't blame him at all for moving from sunny Wigan to the Gold Coast, I mean, wouldn't you?

The joke club of Super League, Lenagan needs to sell up to somebody who has the vision to move us forward, i remember around the time he bought the club, an Oxford united fan came on here or the other site and forewarned us that this would happen, complete laughing stock, Ah Van would have been a better signing, at he can kick goals
All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.
