Ive noticed that the 2 home games in August and 1 in September and also potential play off games are coinciding with Wigan football clubs start to the premiership/championship season! especially the championship as they play a lot more home games than premier league games so my therory is that MORE Wigan Home games will be moved to Saturday/Sunday

Seriously let's not turn this into yet another laugh at Latics thread BUT if they are in the Championship I don't think the current 48 hour issue over the stadium doesn't exist. Far as I know we'll be able to play Friday 8pm and them Saturday 3pm with no problems.

If they get desperate, we can offer them Orrell if the Reserves aren't at home.

As Latics fixtures are at the moment unknown, I don't believe there is a concern. It worked well last season, so why why should it be any different this?

The 2011/12 football fixtures will be announced some time in June. As per every year, the Latics' fixtures will be arranged to deconflict with the Warriors' league fixtures, and vice-versa when the 2012 Superleague fixtures are announced in November. It is both unfeasible and unrealistic for the FA to give them no home fixtures throughout September on the off-chance that the Warriors may have a play-off fixture at a few days' notice (remember, these fixtures are announced in June). As far as I can recall, the only Warriors [uleague [/ufixture to have been changed for football reasons in the past 6 years was the Huddersfield home fixture last August - this was due to Blackpool's ground not even being built in time.

As ever, both clubs will have to be flexible should the Warriors have short-notice home fixtures.

Or a Premier League football team.

The PL rules dictate that Latics have to have the 48 hr agreement in their favour.

Hopefully Everton, West Ham, Stoke and Villa will see to that.
