Anybody that thought Widnes would have put up any sort of fight were sadly misguided. They simply rolled over and then stuck their hands out for the five hundred grand.
I would expect them to perform poorly in the Championship next season. They are in such disarray.

Pretty sure Widnes will re group and recruit sensibly, they are not going to roll over next year, don’t forget we only beat em by 1.

Widnes looked terrible today I was worried going into the game but the score line flattered them really as we bombed about 5 tries anyway good luck next week I enjoy my trips down to the capital

It would appear from the RFL comments they are the only people in RL who didnt think the Widnes HKR game was a forgone conclusion partly caused by the parachute payment. Without that leveller Widnes may have done what Halifax did and came to the last game with pride and fight and gave us a competitive game. I salute Halifax for their pride and determination
