According to the “i” today the average salary of the England RU match day 23 is £294,700, I wonder how that compares to the England RL team?
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

......... and despite hosting a money spinning WC and generating massive corporate interest, the RFU and Club Twickenham in particular are about to post massive financial losses.

I presume most of the salary comes from their club. I also presume Twickenham is a massive millstone!

I’ll lay a bet that their new fitness and conditioning coach is earning considerably more than he ever did in League

I was at an event earlier this year where Lindsey Hoyle MP, Deputy Speaker of House of Commons, was speaking passionately of his love for Rugby League, saying that the reason he loved it was because it was “not all about money”. I don’t doubt his sincerity, but the sad irony of that now being a selling point of the only sport I can think of that was created for financial reasons was apparently lost on him
