Forever Reds is an independent supporters trust. Since 2003, we have raised funds to help Salford City Reds and rugby league in the local community. In 2010, we are the official sponsors of Jack Spencer.

As a legal entity— an IPS (what is an IPS?)— Forever Reds belongs to its membership. Each member owns one share in the Trust; an equal share and therefore an equal say in how the Trust operates. The elected board and committee are volunteers, so all monies raised go towards the aims of the Trust and its administration.

We raise money primarily via the membership scheme and our events. We also raise funds thanks to donations and through commission earned by users who shop with our affiliates.

To get more of a taste of what we do and who's involved, Forever Reds hold regular meetings which are free for everyone to attend. We sincerely hope that you consider joining the trust, and that together we can become a stronger voice and of more valuable help to Salford City Reds and local rugby league.

Forever Reds have been invited to put a tag rugby team into the Supporters Direct Challenge Cup on 29th November. We've entered, all we need to do now is get a team together. The rules are below - it's 5-a-side and we need at least 2 female players on the pitch at any time. We need to get a maximum squad of 10. The only qualifying rule is that you are a member of Forever Reds (£10 to join if you're not already). Let me know if you fancy it.

Quote:The inaugural Supporters Direct Rugby League Challenge Cup will take place on Sunday November 29th 2009 at Soccer Village in Milnrow, near Rochdale and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to enter the competition.

The Challenge Cup will be an eight team TAG rugby league festival, and is intended to be a celebration of the supporters trust movement, whilst also giving trusts the opportunity to show off a few skills in the process!

The competition will be played under the RFL Tag Rugby League Laws (to follow) with the following alterations/additions:

· All matches will be played as 5-a-side

· Maximum squad size is 10

· Each team must have at least two female players on the pitch at all times

· All matches will be 15 minutes one way with no half time

All teams will be drawn at random into two groups. Dependent on placings in those groups, you will be entered into one of four finals to play for the Bowl, Plate, Shield or Cup. Following on from the finals, trophy presentations will take place in the bar at the venue. Each member of your squad will also receive a food voucher which you can exchange for a meal at the end of the games.

The competition is being organised in association with Rochdale Swarm, the supporter’s team of Hornets Rugby League. If any of you are new to tag rugby league, the Swarm have very kindly offered coaching sessions to anyone interested prior to the event.

Whispers from The Offing is a collection of songs by various artists paying homage to four decades of Kevin Coyne's music.

Salford City Reds can only change as fast as the hearts and minds of the people in it and us the supporters that follow them.
See the problems, own the problems, solve the problems and make the solution happen.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – the way this club will move forward is by everyone uniting; board, players, coaching staff, backroom staff and fans. No blame culture, no finger pointing and no excuses – let’s just work hard together do what we can to move forward today, and what we can’t do today, let’s plan to do that tomorrow. - Matt Parish August 2011

You had better book an ambulance for Big Pev and ambulance men as big as Ray Cashmere to carry him, if he plays.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.

deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

In reply to U45d and anyone else wondering, the games are expected to start at 1pm and finish by 4pm with a presentation and food afterwards.

Thanks to those who've put their hands up so far. I'll be in touch.
