So why not go out to the market and bring in someone who knows sport, has negotiated TV contracts, understands the media, worked maybe globally........ not Woods right hand puppet.
Given the current in-fighting between the RFL and SLE I can't imagine any credible candidate wanting the job. With the game's biggest stakeholders so divided, the sport is headed for a shit-storm and nobody wants that stain on their CV.
