Did anyone watch this game?

Wasn’t too sure what to expect having never watched a woman’s match before, but wow! If you get the chance it’s on replay on the watchnrl app, well worth watching.

Tackling was brutal, and have to say I haven’t seen a Super League game this year with as much intensity or as entertaining. Guessing most people will just write it off, but give it a go.

Trolling aside what a great game, even though the Maroons lost! This is only the beginning, the NRL Premiership kicks off later this year and this Origin has only one way to go - up. Shame we here haven’t realised what an opportunity the women’s game is to build a new audience and give the whole game momentum. Instead we call a League Super League, have it drag on for months on end with no focus, and probably destroy community women’s League clubs at the same time.
“The Kiss” will undoubtedly join “The Gladiators” as an icon of our great game for generations.

Here here.

I’m not unsurprised to see that response, but I’d challenge anyone that likes rugby league to watch that game with an open mind and not enjoy it.

Have heard a few people more in the know than me say the Premiership won’t be up to that standard with the talent more dispersed, but will definitely be looking out for more women’s reps games to watch from now.
