"You think you've got problems, what are you supposed to do if you're a manically depressed robot? No, don't bother to answer that, I'm fifty thousand times more intelligent than you and even I don't know the answer. It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level."
This obsession with the wrestle needs to go. Salfords focus on this area and interference either leads to the tackler conceding a penalty or being completely ineffective at marker on the next play expending more energy on trying to cut corners than playing the game.
Or have they learnt from the error made with Watts.
Neither should have been red card. The aggreivance comes from the fact we had to play an hour with only 12 men and ended up losing a close game whereas Saints didn't even concede a penalty, just play on!
That Walmsley elbow was twice as bad as Watts'. Walmsley actually raised his arm before impact and caught the Salford player and the Salford player wasn't down by Walmsley's waist with bad tackle technique. Shocking refereeing. It was at least a bin for dangerous play. The ball carrier also has a responsibility of care to the tackler. It isn't a one way thing.
It was shocking from Lannon but obviously it was on the back of child's decision. They was no way Child's would have given a red, if he could he would put the ball over the white wash for saints tonight.
