Salford 19 for the game above. Still no Hauraki and Brining (who has been a superb signing) due to injury who have been joined on the sidelines by BMM & Mossop from Good Friday's game against Leigh. Krasniqi, Lannon, Todd Carney and Daniel Murray into the 19. Murray a bit of an unknown but think he was quite highly regarded by some Wire fans so hopefully another eager young British talent to add to our youthful, hungry squad.

Let's see if we can keep up this great run of form against a Catalans side that seem to be distinctly average at the minute (cue a 40vpoint drubbing! ). 24 degrees predicted for later so warm but not stifling. Hope we have recovered sufficiently from a tough slog against Leigh to nick the 2 points against what seems like a depleted Catalans squad .

Captivating Catalans beat silly Salford 38-6 in front of over 10,000 fans at the stadium, and hundreds of thousands of TV viewers around the world. The event showed just how important a dry pitch is for the Catalans to win comfortably.

Pity about what looks like a serious ankle injury to second rower Justin Horo, coming after the long layoffs for inspirational back rower Gregory Bird and ace winger Jodie Broughton.

Bad day at the office. Tired players, no luck with any of the 50/50 calls etc and a fired up Catalans team who dominated us physically. Won't lose too much sleep over the result as we now have a decent turnaround before our next league game to rest a few bodies and come back firing against Widnes.

Onwards and upwards.

I would go with that.

Happy with the win and performance, but not conned into thinking that Salford's play didn't contribute.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Bad day at the office, however odds were stacked against Salford? two day turnaround is bad enough, players flight cancelled, did not fly until Sunday afternoon against the back drop of giving Catalans an extra 2 days preparation (Not Catalans fault) it is no wonder Catalans won comfortably.
