Brilliant news! Four years is a long time for someone with Alex's talent. Well done Saints!

What fantastic news. I was fully resigned to him leaving.

Great bit of business by Saints to sign him up a long term deal, best out and out British prop for me and almost certainly had offers on the table from NRL clubs.. To say he is still only 27 he still has a good few years ahead of him. Would kill for a Walmsley at Leeds atm.

Superb news. I’d reconciled myself to his departure. What a great boost before the first match.

Just get a feeling we missed a bit of hype up for this. They should have built this up in the media for an on the pitch announcement from E Mc and had the crowd buzzing.

Thats great news, I was always quietly confident that his partner and child would sway it into Saints favour. I suppose we can also thank Wayne Bennett for not promoting him in the shop window by giving him less game time during the world cup.

Its also a great boost for the 2019 season when quite a few players come off contract so Alex is one name we don't need to worry about now as in a replacement.
The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Percival-Lomax--Grace-Thompson-Makinson-Swift-Walmsley, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Did I or did I not say 6 months ago or so he had no intention of leaving for the NRL and was shot down by certain posters on here who claim to be in the know? He was always going to sign for a long time.

Regards

Great news. Being totally cynical for a moment, would I be right in thinking we should be thanking the baby rather than Alex himself? Australia is a long way to go for Grandparent babysitting duties.

Brilliant to see him stay, he can become a firm Saints legend if we're successful over the next 4 years.
