Yes I watched it on youtube earlier, really interesting and well worth a listen, he’s a very interesting character and although I think the time was right for him to move on I’m glad for his time at our club.

There’s no talk surrounding his departure though which is probably fair enough as I imagine it’s still a sore subject for him.

I get the feeling the players have a huge amount of respect for him still.

He's a great character. Very under appreciated within the game.

He's got his niche in the Clubs History and no one can deny it

Very interesting listen.

Makes you feel a bit old when a current player has no idea who Roy Powell was.

Well worth a listen

An honest man who achieved such great things as a coach with Leeds despite an aging and injury prone squad that was well past its peak. He was badly let down by his boss (GH) who chose not to recruit quality replacements for the retiring backbone of the team and who used Mac as a scapegoat for his own failings and to use Mac's word he was "departed" too early and in a very shabby manner.

It will very ironic if Mac's new team replace Leeds in SL!

A really good interview and well worth a listen, whatever your thoughts on BM.
What comes across imo is how he prepared the squad mentally for the challenges ahead in a long season. His attention to detail in this part of the game was top class and the fact that we were usually at our best come play off time speaks for itself.
Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.
