Wakefield scored 4 try's without Cas touching the ball in the second half when Cas had thrown the kids on. Think only Monaghan and Eden were recognised first teamers on the pitch. Very similar to what they did against you but Wakey had more first teamers on the pitch to take advantage of the situation.
I think I would read more out of the first half than the second.

I was at the Leeds v Wakey Boxing Day clash and Wakey looked very organised. They're not going to be the SL whipping boys that they are labelled I don't think.

It's true that Cas had a lot of youth on for 2nd half, but the 1st half score wasn't really reflective of the game, they were the better side but 24-4 was harsh. We were also playing with only one recognised prop for most of the game due to injuries so struggled against their pack.

We were also testing out a lot of early kick options and set plays.

Don't think we can read too much into the game - both got a few players to come back into starting lineup

Yet we lose to Cas on Boxing Day playing a load of teenagers and Cas are going to be top 2 and we will struggle to make the 8!

I wouldn't read anything out of either half, in the first half Wakey were trying out half-back pairings and hooker roles, in the second half Cas fielded more youngsters. The point is that it's a friendly and has very little (if any baring) on how either clubs season will go. Wakey are now 3/3 in their friendlies but that doesn't mean they're going to be world beaters in the league, I'd expect them to be a fairly tough opposition for any club though.

I can't wait for the first game though, I'm hoping it's going to be a good opener to the season. It'll be good to see you Hull fans in Wakey

Wakefield will definitely be tough opposition for any Super League club this season and I think they will match last seasons top 8 effort. I was talking with Chris Chester yesterday and he seems very confident in the group he has put together.
Don't expect to see me when Hull travel over though!

Top 8 and being competitive is all most Wakey fans are hoping for. It's been a pretty tough decade to be a Wakey fan so it's nice to be finally coming out of the trouble
