Very true, my owd Dad served in the war and then stayed on as a full time Soldier in the Middle East ,serving with the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders.

A quick troll around Stirling Castle's archive reveals that Old Pa Compton's bagpipe rendition of "Donal', fah's yoor troosers?" was mentioned in dispatches. Not a dry ee (noor kilt) in the hoose.
