Difficult to "brush off the attention" when it leaves your eye closed up wondering whether you have fractured your face!

Agree he was poor, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt given performances to date and what happened early on.

He was very poor, but he had a lot to put up with. With a stronger referee we'd have seen Green sent off and they would had to take a different approach. Can't believe Saints haven't royally kicked off about it.

Indeed. KC's comments last week make it difficult for him to be too visible with his views on the incident:

"It's unfortunate that it's happened and it's happened to my players this year, I just don't go into the press (conference) whinging about it.

Well, you can get mad or get even. They clearly went out to rattle him and put him off his game, I imagine the sledging was pretty intense too. The lad who hit him late and high should have seen red but the ref let us down , that aside Burns best way to shove the attention back down their throats would have been to turn our forward dominance into the comfortable win it should have been.

I don't disagree, my point is just that it's easier to react in the way you suggest when your head hasn't been scrambled and you're not checking your face every few minutes for cracks.
