I know it's probably a big ask but with our recent little mini run and picking up wins we are in 6th on the table on 32 points, joint with Cas, Leeds and Wire, 1 off Wigan in 2nd and 4 off Saints at the top, does anyone think we can actually do the unthinkable and retain the shield with an end of season surge, don't forget we have still to play Wire and Saints too.

Would you want to see us go all out and try and achieve top spot again or happy to settle into preparing for the play-offs ?
I don't know if its something that's been discussed within the dressing room but in my view i reckon we should be trying to go for it..every bit of silverware is always welcome and i would love us to retain the shield, like i say it's a big ask but it is possible !

Don't see us getting it but yes, I want to see us going for it EVERY week all season. My own preference would be league leaders and CC - GF would be a bonus.

I'd love to see us lift the LLS again but I think even if we win all our 3 remaining games our points difference will make this hard. What I see as just as important is the belief we could take into the play offs if we could beat Wire and Saints but I'll be hoping for us to retain our trophy until it's mathematically impossible.

I dont think we can win it because even if saints lose all their games it means teams above us will still be be winning . our points difference is so poor as well that it i actually think it is not just impossible but statistically impossible

bookies have us as the rank outsiders with warrington for the LLS, i did back wire at 40/1 though to do it . Also 40/1 to win the grand final which i think is a decent bet

It would require Leeds to beat Wigan and Saints but lose to Hull, Warrington to beat Wigan and Saints but we could do it.

The biggest problem is Cas who would have to lose 1 out of 3 and none of them are against top 6 opposition.

That would leave the top 6 as:

Huddersfield
Wigan
Leeds
Warrington
Castleford
Saints

Assuming Wigan beat Widnes and Cas on ly lose 1 game.

Unless we get some 50 point wins and other teams get some 50 point losses it's pretty unlikely

To me if the Giants win up and they will finish first or second. I am confident of the two home games it comes done to if we can end our hoodoo against Warrington.

Beat.Warrington takes them out of the reckoning but tough ask. I think Saints will lose their last three. Cas I think will lose at Catalans.
Loser of Wigan v Leeds taken out of it meaning we would need winner of this to lose on last day and both have tough games particularly Wigan.

However lose to Wire and we will finish fifth or six.

It will be tight I'm sure of that, frustrating when you consider all the points we through away at the start of the year!!
