Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Without playing a game at a different time what do you realistically think the club could have done differently?

But they didn't and it didn't and that's just fairly amateur planning for a professional sports club hosting 14,000 spectators don't you think? Asking the customers to get there an hour early and crossing your fingers that they do.

I'm not paid to make decisions but off the top of my head, make the game an 8pm KO after the cricket has finished or rather tell fans gates will close at 2.15 if you want to ensure fans really do get there early.

They can ask me all they want but, like I said, I have no intention of being in the ground an hour before KO. None whatsoever. If they make me, I might have thought differently.

I think it was probably the only option available to the club once they had decided not to change the kick off time. I for one wouldn't have fancied an 8pm kick off today. I got a couple of e mails about the cricket - it wasn't a secret. That people chose to ignore advice is not the clubs fault.

I said apart from changing the time! I imagine there would have been far more problems and complaints had they locked season ticket holders out at 2:15

That's fair enough, I'm a great believer in letting people decide what to do for themselves. But accept the consequences of missing kick off because of that decision. I don't think you're complaining and nor should you be.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Re: North Stand today : Tue Apr 22, 2014 6:41 am
Surely it is the role of Leeds to change their processes to cope with a self-inflicted issue not the behaviour of the customers that needs to change?

Perhaps is more bods from the North stand had entered through the gates at the western terrace - Hutton Gates - that would have helped?

We've had Cricket & Rugby games played at the same time before haven't we?
Wigan CC couple of years ago (I think it was)

Sure we didn't see these problems then...?!

Hope this isn't the end of both games being played at the same time.
I quite enjoyed my morning at the Cricket before some exciting Rugby!

I think the difference is that previous clashes were unavoidable due to cup draws and TV. Yesterday could surely have been avoided with some foresight being put into the fixtures.

Sal -once the fixtures were set I'm not sure how much more the club could have done

I really enjoyed my time at the cricket. I left at 2.40 to take up my seat in the Carnegie Stand & had no difficulty getting to my seat in plenty of time to watch the crowd continuing to pour into the North Stand until at least 3.15.
At half time I wished I'd stayed watching the cricket, fortunately we bucked up our ideas somewhat in the second half.
Sadly, the bad light & subsequent rain prevented me enjoying further cricket post rugby.

Quite.

I'm not too fussed and think the club were right to issue an apology. I just wanted top point out that the "well turn up early then" response doesn't really cut it.

They could have probably opened a few entrances on the cricket side of the north stand. Had it stewarded to keep noise down. Sure the 7 people in the stand watching the cricket would not have minded!

It's not the spectators watching the cricket that would have objected, rather it would be the batsmen as people constantly walked behind the bowlers arm causing umpteen stoppages in play.
