Well broadly in agreement, but think the section:

"But fans’ outrage at the treatment of much-liked Potter and disgust at the prospect of Noble returning caused a change of heart in the former Odsal hero."

The second part is way off track and disrespectful to both the majority of fans and Brian

It sure is.

As Bulliac so eloquently wrote yesterday, none of the outrage was directed at Nobby at all, at it was a bloody tragedy that he got sucked into it, and he cannot have deserved any of it. It was indeed about the perceived treatment of the coaching staff, hence the massive cheering at the back when Potter came in.

I guess had the Bulls been hammered at the Piedome the previous Friday, the conspiracy theorists might well have argued that the timing (it must have been planned previously, to be able to get all the letetrs and stuff done ready) had been picked to coincide with the fans being maybe a bit down at the performance? But that could not make sense really, could it, if they really understood Bulls fans, because I think pretty well all the fans understood the pressures the players had been under, the scale of the injuries (even if the Sky muppetry chose to ignore it) and the massive ask of even getting across the line at their place. Hence an honourable defeat was expected and would have been fully understood; so a totally fekking brilliant win sent the respect for the players and the coaching staff intergalactic. As it therefore transpired, the administrator could hardly have picked a single worse day (for him) in recent memory to do the deed.

Was an interesting read and pleasantly surprising that he, to my knowledge, is the first reporter to speak about the possible 'conspiracy' with CC and the administrator (from a neutral perspective)

Part of me thinks that he must be confident in his claims to publish said article, but then again his previous articles have been know to be some way off the truth.

TBF there is a faction that believes, because Nobby was one of the names involved when CC first entered the fray, it was already a fait accompli that under the new Caisley administration Nobby got the coaches job. Personally I do not believe that, I am sure Nobby only ever put his name down because he loves the club and would do anything to help, and was not angling for Potter's job. But for a conspiracy theorist that was more than enough, and if he did end up with the job, any self-respecting conspiracy theorist would forever claim to have been obviously right all along.

No relevance to this morning. Just my usual nightly prayer.

Wouldn't you need to know what salary a person was on before deciding whether they should be reinstated?

As a rider, I've met Medders a few times, like him and think he does a good job. Met Debbie and Ryan and think they're nice and am genuinely sad they're in the boat they're in. Whilst sacking everyone is clearly destructive doesn't the 100k a month figure demand some significant changes?

Of course the £100k a month is a massive issue - and one that if we survive will need to be addressed urgently - but should always be a balance between cost saving and trying to increase revenue. So a good marketing person may cost you £50k - but if they bring in extra fans and more sponsorship then it makes sense. In business you need to look at the value a position or service brings not just the cost.

To my mind investing in young developing players is going to be the key for the future and its the work done here already which is one of the facters behind our improved performances this year in the face of all the other problems.

Totally agree and not in a position to judge on a case by case basis but the very nature of situation demands the whole structure has to be reassessed along with evaluations of cost/value of each post.

My point is change is sorely needed and whilst deeply unpleasant, I don't hold with Craven's position which appears to be a call to return to that which brought us here.

At the risk of starting another conspiracy theory I agree with you as well!- there is no denying a fundamental evaluation of the operation was requred and given the scale of the losses some difficult decisions were unavoidable. As soon as you start routinely living beyond your means tears are bound to follow.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

Sometimes a good product can be undervalued and then you wonder why is it so cheap? whats wrong with it? am I missing something? That could be the case with investors now looking at fiscal holes that may or may not be there! If Guilfool is pushing the product with a Del Boy its cheap at half the price patter, it would certainly make Investors take more care with due dilligence. Buying a Sports Club is a gamble and you don't gamble if can't afford to lose the money!
The Bulls are in a way less of a gamble as if they could turn a proper accountable profit within 12-24 months now, as the main burden of debt has been eased!

debt may have been eased but the bottom line is they need to be in superleague to turn that into a worthwhile investment, the ground has to be developed if they want a new licence in 2015. That wont be cheap and who will be paying for it will be the problem.

That wasn't the case (at least before all of this nonsense).

As a holder of a Grade B, the worst we could be next time was Grade C. I expect something would (have) need(ed) doing for 2018, though. So the problem will still hit us sooner or later.

As it stands - and I realise plans are alledgedly in hand - Wakey and Cas are the only two grounds which seem worse/smaller than Odsal, Catalan and HKR similar standard and who knows where London are playing - all the other clubs are now in relatively new stadia - though the builders at St Helen's seem to have left the walls off?

The only way any SL can afford any significant ground improvements is on the back of a larger redevelopement where a new stadia is thrown in as part of the deal and in the Bulls case this is out of our hands as we don't own the ground.
