Going to be controversial as well - watching from home, I actually liked a few of Frawley's contributions in the first half. Frawley is getting tons of stick for some of the errors, but Croft is hardly taking control regularly enough either.
I'm a bit more worried about Miller who is really struggling in decision making. If only Cameron Smith had the same pace and agility - with his footballing brain it would make one hell of a player.
As Smith pointed out, defence was actually pretty decent, and Hull have some monster forwards that our pack managed to handle without it feeling that the result was ever in doubt. The problem was the failure of the attack to click again, and to convert scoring opportunities. It didn't help that Miller was the only first choice outside back on the field after Momirovski left the field, which was a shame as the Momster was playing pretty well in his combination with Lumb.
Searching for more positives, how about this: however bad our makeshift backline may have been, I wouldn't swap any of them for Sutcliffe and Tindall - completely anonymous. Has Tindall scored any tries yet in his Hull career?
Oh yes, and we won. And despite the doom and gloom, we're only 4 points off the league leaders, with a game against London to come. That's not latter day Furner or Agar territory yet. Things may well get worse but they could get better as well...
