Price had a great first season and then we were pretty 1 dimensional and for the most part useless when it came to the business end and big cup games. We were never going to win the big one under price, for the past 3 seasons we were miles behind saints and the gap was always getting bigger. Changing culture and coach was absolutely right. I can't understand anybody is pining for Steve price, I've never been less entertained or frustrated with a warrington side than Steve prices teams after the first season (which was very positive) Some of those final losses were absolutely appalling, afraid to lose rather than trying to win! I'll always be thankful for the saints final but no thanks. The club needs to back Powell, let him choose the players he wants in to build a team of good players who are proud to represent the club. Maybe Powell came in and changed too much, but the players are paid by the club so they should just get on with it, I'm sure the new direction would work if they bought in properly, it's all on them IMO.

I do wonder if a fair few have been told they won't be retained and have subsequently given up?

Those are my thoughts too, but surely those players have the intellect to understand that they have to play well and put themselves in the shop window, for future employment at another club?

I don't agree with getting rid of Bullock at all. He's been a good signing for us and has had decent impact for us. He's not a world beater but he's definately a keeper for me. Widdop will be off to Oz at the end of the year, J.Clark will be off aswell, Hughes potentially going, Rob Butler will be off, Eribe will be 100% off the books, Charnley might go if the rumours are true.
Alot of players to replace and a decent amount of money to use. Hopefully the Ferguson rumours aren't true and a nasty Prop is the number 1 priority.

That'd be my guess. Some players are probably missing their easy life.
