I don’t think the club could be any more transparent. I don’t know why MC is getting flak for today.

The buck stops with Chester. For the past two years at least the rugby served up has been one dimensional.
Agree

We couldn’t have a better CEO thank Michael Carter
Any one that thinks yesterday’s serving of tripe is anything to do with him is wrong

The club has never being run more professionally

He can not organise the team call the plays, make inspirational runs or off loads, tackle, score try’s and kick goals

That’s for the players to do

Regarding Chester
Maybe you are right, things have slowly gone down hill since Kear left us

Maybe that’s not a coincidence

To counterpoint this; it is them who employed and continue to employ a coach who is taking the club backwards. It is them who sign off on all of the players we've signed.

Counter to that is that 99% of the players they sign have being excellent signings

Because no team has ever turned over a 4 score lead...

Losing 2 players so early for the game, probably not?

We had a mountain to climb and I fully agree that at that point the game had gone.

Look, I’m not making excuses, it was an horrific performance...probably one of the worst I’ve seen from us for a long, long time...to put it into context, we lost 58-0 to a team making twice as many errors as us 24 to 12...when you lose by that score line in that manner to a team making 24 errors it says it all...

Prior to that though, it wasn’t a bad effort against Wigan and pre lockdown our previous two games were a golden point loss to Hull and an away win at Salford who seem to get better support on here than our own team for some reason, despite the fact we beat them?

We’re just making too many basic mistakes and have no leadership on the field...the vast majority on here couldn’t wait to get shut of Brough but he’s exactly the type of player we’re now missing...is Gigot the answer, I’m not sure?

What we need to do is get back to the basics and cut out the poor errors that are killing us. Go to back to playing with smiles on our faces...there is no relegation this season so that pressure is lifted but at times we look like a team with the weight of the world on our shoulders and play desperate stuff that doesn’t come off.

We need to start games stronger...when we complete sets at a high percentage and end sets well with decent kick chase, kick pressure we are a decent side and then the rest falls into place...when you complete high you will have spells on the front foot and that’s where you can give the ball some air and we can be very dangerous and a match for anyone when we do...

I don’t think a change in coach is needed just yet, just stop playing desperate stuff and go back to basics and the rest will fall into place. As much as I am pro Chester I don’t think he should be without criticism...Tanginoa is NOT a starting prop...get him on the bench and use him as an impact back rower ffs...and think his handling of Jowitt is nothing short of criminal...feel real sorry for the kid...don’t think I’ve ever known a player play well do many times then get dropped! Then he gets back in and makes an odd mistake or two and seems to be made a scapegoat...lads confidence must be all over the place...just give him a good run in the side!

I stopped reading all that as soon as I got to the bit about Sezer being the major difference at Hudds, as he has done sweet fanny Adams IMO, Gaskell has been the better half and they missed him more yesterday then the 20mins they were without sezer.
People need to realise that this season is a write off in all sense of the word bar 4 or 5 clubs who have a chance, the rest are all bit players. Plus with all this BLM shizzle from last week and the fact there are currently 9 SL payers testing positive for C-19 then things really need to be put in to perspective.
Just watch the season out, none of us are any worse of than we were yesterday morning, there's more important things going on in the world and on our doorstep :thumb:

Sezer is the single reason why shudds are performing so well
Sezer is also the reason why Gaskell is playing so well
Both have there parts to play and they are doing them perfectly

Very similar to when Finn and miller played together as a comparison as I see it

One half can’t do everything
A scrum half and a stand off are separate positions

Just because some one is a good stand off (which I believe miller is) doesn’t make him a good scrum half

And vice versa

An absolute key point for me is fitness and size. In our forwards, Fifita, westerman and kopcjak are carrying various degrees of too much fat. Look at the physiques of Catalans cas and St Helens. Look at the 80 min high speed effort in the 4:15 game today. Fitness! And we have too many small players in our squad and our 17, all too often. It's a handicap before you start. We're always looking like we haven't any punch as a result

I think that is an issue but at the root of our problems is our lack of ball control and errors , completion rate has been abysmal for two years, penalty count the same. If you don’t complete your sets and give the opposition multiple chances in your own half - any team will lose .

Good clubs control the ball and play in the opposing half

Combination of the lack of control and our consistently atrocious kicking game Is where we consistently fail

The way we play is basic, unfortunately we are still unable to do that. I believe we have started badly in the majority of games and have shown no greater leadership with Brough in the team hence our run last season.
I really don’t know where we go from here because there will be no compulsory changes to the coaches. We have produced a similar level of performances for quite sometime. When Chester first arrived we were classed as entertaining now we are just boring and dull, extremely dull.

Adding to the dull bit, extremely poor

Chester should be sacked but obviously won't. Webster wasn't sacked even after the 0-80 debacle at Warrington. We were garbage last season and he's just carried on picking the same under performers and same tactics.

I don't get the boring and dull thing.
OK the last game wasn't great but we weren't dull against Wigan the week before or in many many other games.

There are things to fix.... Mainly in the half backs and team organisers.... But they are fixable.
