I wouldn’t be surprised if it was sooner cos I think once they start relaxing things it will gather pace big style.

I think it will happen, just a gut feeling, but which option should be used.
Model 1, 9 round, plus CC competition, the weather should still be ok playing until until the end of November.
Model 2. 11 rounds plus CC season ends mid December. That’s a problem for some overseas players who go home for Christmas. The weather may still be ok.
Model 3. 15 rounds, plus CC, but season ends mid January 2021.

I’m not sure about model 3, I think model 2 would work best.
Whichever model is used, I think Sky will have the last word. Games will be played to accommodate the transmission schedule.

9 rounds would be 11 for us as we are 2 games behind other teams?

to have integrity in the comp everyone would have to play everyone at least once!

I would then try a 8 team final series format (maybe old super 8's then top 2 GF ?)to give teams extra games and extra revenue on the gates as crowds should be back by then.

The bit about allowing a limited number of fans in from October poses a bit of an issue too.....do they just say season ticket holders only (this would obviously have a huge impact on matchday income), or home fans only, which, in our case would mean we could use the western terrace to 'social distance', or what ??

I'm kinda feeling like we ought to just run a mini season for the rest of this year and draw a veil over the beginning of 2020, just to tick the game over.
Pull the fixtures out of a bag for a sept/oct finish and call it a draw, the season is ruined anyway but it keeps the game running, the players training/playing and some measure of club function and activity in the sport
I don't think we're going to get a credible comp out of this season now so it'll be a bit of a treading water exercise for the game.

It would be a lot easier just to complete the season as suggested with the three options stated than mess around like that.
