Exactly, its not like that sort of update would take a major upgrade that is not worth doing if you're going to revamp the website anyway....its a quick update. Not doing it is just laziness and not really caring, which says it all.

KF makes big claims to the media: "We don't measure ourselves against other Super League clubs, we measure ourselves against the biggest sporting brands in the world". If you have that sort of ambition you have to be on top of details.

Tottenham Hotspur are in football probably in a similar relative position to us, aspirational of breaking the oligopoly of the top teams, ambitious off the field. Daniel Levy wants to build Spurs brand and says similar sort of stuff to KF about competing with biggest sporting brands in the world. But its a lot more convincing from him.

If Spurs won the FA Cup, how quickly would their website be updated? Do you reckon Levy would let them get away with leaving it for months?

Overall the club website isn't bad. The colours look great. They have a good sense of design. There's obviously talent at the club staff off the field as well as on it, I think they need some better management to get the best out of the club's potential. I definitely felt like we were a better run organisation when Gatcliffe was here.

Its not even a minute job it'd take seconds. Also i see KF is at it again - lying about Gelling choosing us over Wigan due to our squad being better. More free team talks for the opposition. He's a liability...and a buffoon.

Yeah this type of talk is what you say if you don't really believe you are the best, but you want to talk yourself up.

He's saying in the Warrington Guardian that it was very disappointing that we didn't beat Wigan four times out of four last year and he 'expects us to complete a clean sweep over them' this year.

In Super League anyone can beat anyone. Saying you expect us to clean sweep Hull KR or Toronto Wolfpack is asking for trouble. Talking like that about Wigan is ridiculous.

Look at how Jurgen Klopp carries himself now Liverpool are winning all the time. He's not a boring cliched rent-a-quote, he manages the media well, but you would never get him saying something like 'well I expect us to do the clean sweep over United, with the quality of our squad!' He lets results do the talking and he respects his opponents.

We're playing Wigan first game of the season, so if we lose that, KF is already a laughing stock with his talk of clean sweep.

Exactly. With this we are coming across as absolutely and utterly classless.

If Wigan use spoiling tactics against us and KF raises that in the media after the game it's fair enough. It's different from boasting that you're going to do the clean sweep over them.

Price commenting on tactics after a game is one thing. A CEO needs to set an example to others and be a figurehead for the club. Being accused of telling lies in the RL press is not a good outcome and damages both him and the reputation of the club. If indeed he has lied I wonder what else he has lied about.

Let's hope Widdop isn't Harry Kane then.

I wonder whether the new website launch might be happening to coincide the club's official season launch next week?

That's the normal sort of thing you'd do.

As for not updating the honours board for the Challenge Cup win last year maybe somebody has took the same view of many on here apparently and decided Challenge Cups count for nothing until we've won a Super League title.

To be honest though I don't need to go on the club's website to check whether we won the Challenge Cup last year. I have my memories from being there on the day to confirm it. Guess if you weren't there on the day you might need the website honours board to remind you.

Very true. I forget a lot of things nowadays. Obviously I'll regret not going to Wembley last year until my dying day. Everyday I self flagellate in recrimination recanting my decision. I wish I could swap just 1 of the GF failures I endured to be there.

What's your opinion on KF and his media approach?
