Where is the logical thinking in taking Cas and Leeds fans across the M62 on a Friday evening to watch this game?
If Saints had qualified then a neutral venue would have been required so this decision hasn't been long in the pipe line.
If the RFL want the womens' game to grow then surely a more local and convenient neutral venue would be better to increase the attendance figures.
Surely a location like Featherstone would generate a larger attendance?

The game was scheduled at Headingley the Sunday and was moved to St. Helens to the Friday due to availability and England teams going out on the Saturday. I do understand the logistics with how much it affects both teams from Yorkshire it’s just unfortunate that it is two from Yorkshire yet again.

It's ridiculous, Featherstone would have been perfect for this game on a Friday night, I would have probably ventured out to watch it but asking Was and Leeds fans to go over to Saint Helens on a Friday night is just utter lunacy.

The venues were finalised months ago. But does anyone know why Leeds said Headingley wasn't available on Friday night which would have kept the game there? No sporting events that I can see are on.

Even belle Vue at wakey would have been a good call. Talk about trying to promote the women's game it's just ludicrous expecting people to go to saints on a Friday night.

Me too Fev south leeds stadium etc would gave been great

The venue was finalised ages ago, like it should have been for a final like this, with tickets on sale for months.
It's unfortunate that it's ended up two Yorkshire teams but that's the way it goes sometimes.

really? in the playoffs teams sometimes have a weeks notice to get the game on. have 2 weeks between the semi and final and choose a venue after the semi finals. it's not rocket science
