Brilliant achievement to get into the final again, got a great chance to make it 3 grand final wins in a row, 5.30 kick off Friday night before the Salford game lets hope we can get a few thousand in to watch it

Think your being hopeful wrt the crowd as at that time people wont be able to get to the match after work. I know I wont be able to make it unless I can organise some holiday at short notice. In addition the Saints fans will be paying full whack at a minimum of £23 to watch their lads. Can't see many of them being up for that or staying for the Wigan vs Salford match after.

I took holiday to watch an academy final at the DW a couple of years back and there were two men and a dog for the crowd.

Better to play at a neutral venue as its a final and have it as a stand alone event and make it more of an occasion for the players.

I watched the final against Saints a few years back before we played Cas?? on the last game of the season, the one when Ryan Hall scores with the last touch of the game to win the league for them. Bet there was a couple of thousand watching that and a couple of hundred saints fans too.

The crowd will be sparse at the beginning but come the second half it will build and by the end you’d think a good few thousand will be on. If they play it as a stand-alone fixture they’d probably get 1,000-1,500 on, as they have in the past at places like Leigh.

I agree it’s tough on the Saints fans having to pay full whack. You wonder if there’s any way they could offer them tickets at a reduced price to just watch the academy game then leave. It’s probably logistically impossible but it would certainly tempt plenty more over for it.

Could it be do-able for Saints to sell Academy priced tickets from the TWS and let them keep the cash ?
I suppose our football overlords would have to agree to that though.
