I get that he can't really say that we're looking at this player or that position, but to say he's happy with the squad just rings of not wanting to upset anyone and that's what got us into this mess in the first place.

What he should have said was "clearly we've under performed as a whole this season and we will make necessary changes to make sure that this doesn't happen again next season." Then the door is still open for him to move people on, or push them to improve their performances next year.

This whole thing says to me we will be no further forward in 12 months time...
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Maybe budget doesnt run to it

They need to be careful with the budget, but taking a cheap option will almost always mean that you have to take a more expensive one at a later date.

Just because he hasn't said that there will be wholesale changes does not mean that he will move in or out anyone from any position. It's a presser interveiw and a throw away comment to be take witha pinch of salt.
Loving the success and the silverware, keep them coming :)

Certainly been an improvement on the feild in the way they have played, even if it hasn't translated into results. I could only see it getting worse under Furner

This key fact seems to have been lost on people, and it is so strange. We were never going to go down, we were far too big for that, regardless of who coached, and yet somehow he is getting credit for saving us, despite actually nearly taking us down. We would never have had to wait to the last couple of weeks of season had we put the right man in charge months earlier.

Oh well, we just have to accept it, and plod on again, until the next one gets sacked now. This clubs and its fans just will never learn at all. Let's just move on.

There won't be many in or out for next season IMO, there are quite a few off contract after next season and that's when we'll see them leave.

You could produce a list of 15-20, take your pick. Your not seriously suggesting we have the best man? Good luck to him all the same, as I do like him as a person.
