All credit to Hicks, i think this is a brilliant way to handle the situation and the so called fan got away light, probably feeling a bit foolish

Warrington have banned the nutjob but suspended his ban, must have taken advice from the RFL Disciplinary Panel.
How the hell is that a suitable punishment. It is a hate crime, he should be in court.

The Warrington fan got off lightly .A threat to kill would have resulted in Hicks receiving a Osman warning .
I find it incomprehensible that the Warrington Club are letting this person frequent their Stadium .

The Police don’t take much seriously these days .A visit from them and a suspended ban is nuts .

However this Warrington Bloke must be a right tool . Issue a death threat on Twitter with your name and a photograph on your account . He was never going to shoot anyone . Oh I know ...I will take out a match official live on television .

How was the Bloke going to sneak a M99 through the turnstiles rig up and take the official out .
They should parade him at the next home Warrington match so everyone can laugh at him .

More bad publicity for the Warrington club .

No matter how bad the referee is, death threats are only fit from the scum of the earth.
Rob Hicks has shown immense courage for doing this. He deserves the respect of the whole rugby league community.
(Until his next game when fans from both sides will be calling the s%*t out of him )

I Think what he means is although a death threat is horrendous in itself, but if I was to guess I reckon 99.999999% of death threats are a knee jerk statement and are (fortunately) not carried out and are said to cause maximum distress of which I have no doubt they do exactly that, and again fortunately this threat was in the 99.9999999 % bracket and was in all honesty going to be as if he was a professional assassin he would not have made the threat as it would of hindered his chances of carrying it out, this is the internet’s problem these days ,people’s reactions are public in an instant, if he had time for reflection I dare say in 1980 hull fans thought terrible things about Fred Lindop but by the time they sat down and we’re going to pen a letter the feelings had subsided, that and a 1st class stamp would be a waste of 12p.
