Hopefully they get promoted, and then they become Super League club's 'pain in the butt'. Although being 'full time' players they won't need to book 3 days off work to travel to Canada and back.
There’s a strange attitude in RL whereby people are somehow proud that we have part time players in the game.
We should be embarrassed. There shouldn’t be any part time players in the Championship. It’s only because most clubs are so unviable as a modern sports club that they either can’t or don’t want to pay their players a full time wage yet want to participate in a professional league.
The fact any players at any Championship club have to book time off work should be embarrassing to us. And none of that is Toronto’s fault.
If Championship clubs don’t want professional responsibilities then we should cut them off from the professional structure in the same way as we keep the NCL and League 1 separate.
