ITV presenter says Hull FC fan told him to 'f*** off back home' at Challenge Cup semi-final

An ITV journalist has said a Hull FC fan told him to "f*** off back home" during Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final.
Calendar sports reporter Arif Ahmed took to social media to "bring to light" what happened to him at the game, held on Saturday, where the Black and Whites were beaten 22-14 by Warrington Wolves.

He tweeted: "RACISM THREAD: The #ChallengeCup final/semi finals was difficult but fun to cover yesterday with 4 of the 6 teams coming from the area I report on. Ruined for me by a @hullfcofficial fan who told me to ‘F**k off’ (on camera) and ‘F**k off back home’ later on.

The abuse that Mr Ahmed received comes after rugby league supporters have criticised a small minority of Hull FC fans who threw bottles onto the pitch at the end of Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final.

Are you deliberately ignoring the RFL statement which says that they are investigating the incident with Hull??

https://twitter.com/TheRFL/status/11555 ... m-21429%2F

Also, why only pick on a Hull FC incident, what about the flares and bottles thrown by KR fans earlier in the season? Your obsession is ridiculously transparent.

All this bulls$$t because of some fake news!!

I've never read so much hate against people none of you even know. Generalizing about fans of a rival club and making out your own club have perfect, well behaved fans is sickening.

Most fans of all clubs are decent well behaved people. ALL clubs have idiots get over yourselves.

Pretty much all of the Wire fans that come on here have, in one way or another, tried to deflect attention away from their "fans" wrongdoing.

No we haven't at all from what i've seen about 3 people have done that. I've slated our fans as have loads of others, not all wire fans are like this at all but every wire basher that has suddenly crawl out from behind the sofa make out like every wire fan is scum and violent just because a few of our turd fans got seen on TV because of a supposed incident made them respond way over the Top. Hull have caused more trouble at the HJ then any other fans i've seen yet nothing gets said because it wasn't seen on TV so apparently it doesn't happen.
I've seen a saints fan jump out of a car and Knock a lad out who was just walking home with his girlfriend, i've seen Wigan fans kick of and smash cars after a game, i've seen salford fans start fights and gangs of Hull fans literally roaming in gangs starting fights. I've seen Castleford fans attack a man who was with his young kids and wife. Do i think all of their clubs fans are the same...no not at all. Every single clubs has these types of bellend supporters but because everybody is jumping on the warrington witch hunt bandwagon we suddenly have the worst fans in the world
I have no defense what so ever for our fans and think they're an absolute disgrace and hope they get lifetime bans, as they have made us look like utter Sh!te and a disgrace

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

How is it fake news?

Where you on the coach in question.?

Another example of wire fan deflection tactics.

Most fans would come on and disown fans who behave this way, but wire fans seem instant on defending or deflection.

Psychedelic Casual following the Catalan gane even said the ref had wound him up to the point of wanting to his someone. (he was watching TV ffs)

Just to put a bit of prospective on this. Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell was given a suspended £5,000 fine by the Rugby Football League for "entering the field of play" during his side's 42-12 defeat by St Helens.

Can't wait for this match review results to come out in public.

100% agree. And my embarrassment is greatest when it's idiots following my own club who've misbehaved. What concerns me slightly is that when I read this kind of thread, there's an unhealthy number of fans of the offending club - this is a general point, not relating solely to wire - who don't seem to feel that way and who'd prefer to defend the wrongdoers, blame the ref, blame the opposition - or pretend the events never happened.

From a personal point of view & this is my opinion only, our favourite away game is Warrington. We have made a good few friends from Warrington & always try to meet up both home & away.
