I doubt Rodders wants Trinity at all, but right now they are a necessary evil to engineer the position needed. You would have to be pretty naive to believe that the football club is going to rock up at BV with an arm full of grant funding to develop the place and not want to be more than tenants. You can bet your bottom dollar that they will end up with a large part of the pie and it will be a case of take it or leave it.

We are where we are. What other options do we have? The football probably unlocks various grants we couldn’t get without them, that enables a fit for purpose community stadium for the City of Wakefield. All we can do is hope for the best. I must say I like Wakefield FC new home kit.

Correct, I said this month ago. It’s a million miles from what we were promised and is imo criminal. However this is a salvage operation now and frankly I can’t see any other way.

Very nice to see that WMDC have wiped out a million pound debt (our money, remember), owed by the owners of the Welbeck reclamation site. That money would have been halfway to fulfilling the two million pound that Box & Co Ltd. pledged to the building of Newmarket stadium, was it not?
I thought the Council were there to carry out the wishes of the majority of the electorate. I'm sure those people would not wish to see their money squandered in this way.

I’m sure MC and the club would have a watertight contract that we are anchor tenants on good terms so we won’t be another Coventry or Darlington. We don’t know what plans are in place anyway.
