Sheer effort win tonight but plenty to work on. I still look at the table and smile and I don’t feel too edgy watching games because it just feels that any spot in the top five will be a bonus when compared to our position of a few weeks back.
Yep. That's me as well, it was only a month ago or so we were joint bottom.
Can't complain about the effort, the result or where we where a few weeks back but.... I'm convinced there are loads more points in this team when Sammut plays, frustrating.
We have 5 games remaining in the regular season, 4 at home and the one away at Wakefield. Moreover we face Warrington at home the week before they are involved in the cup final. There is every reason to be confident that we will win them all. It's beginning to feel a bit like last year when we won the last ten matches to be crowned Champions. It couldn't happen again, could it?
The best thing we can hope for is that Wire win the cup, as that might mean a pre and post final blip in form. It will also add some massive pressure onto Saint's and create a - are they/aren't they going to bottle it situation.
Isa obviously but one of the other workhorses who maybe doesn’t at times get the credit he deserves Sarginson I felt we’re great last night.
Agreed. What in military terms they call 'a soldier's battle' ... i.e. victory is down to ground-level grunt.
Very impressed with the efforts of Isa, Sarge and Clubb, Liam took his tries immensely well, and the three teenage forwards were a sensation. What a trio of beasts they were last night. Totally had that massive Hull pack rocking.
Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions
Wire have got Catalan away and Saints at home next, I wouldn’t back them to win either. We could be playing them in a few weeks to go level on points with them, assuming we dispatch Hull KR next week. Then after their Cup Final, who knows how they’ll perform.
Said it weeks ago, give us Saints at OT and they will shi.. themselves!

Whilst I agree your forwards were outstanding, that massive Hull pack, had to replace Sika Manu, Mickey Paea, and Josh Bowden, a fine defensive performance from Wigan, and considering the cost of our semi final defeat and short turnaround, we lost ultimately on the decision of an eight point try.

And a double movement where the player was still moving forward when he moved his arm. That goes up as a try and it stays a try. Are you suggesting the 8 point try wasn't the correct decision?

No I was sat at the opposite side of the field, and not seen it yet, and as the screens were off at the KC it could only be clarified by television.
Did you go to the game.
