The team is clearly playing well when this is the hot topic on matchday!
Anyway, it should be Heinz beans(with sausages!)on toast.

Once buffoon Boris and his flying circus get up to speed the food of choice for the likes of us will be gruel.

If he loses v Hunt, he could join our coaching staff, or go to scrum half.
We can't go worse, Shirley.

Apologies for bringing the beans thread back onto page one of the forum, but this is vaguely Rugby related (unlike most of the above).

Back in the 90s, I worked regularly in the South East and based myself in a room above a pub in Lewes, E Sussex. The pub was a big rugby pub - though the rugby was of the under-evolved code. The landlord also had a screen printing business and, in 1995, designed a tee-shirt and confidently printed hundreds. He then emailed every club in the Union advertising his wares (or "wears" in this case) and made a killing until a lawyer sent by a certain baked bean grocer walked into the bar one day with a cease and desist order and a million threats. Mike (the landlord) ceased and desisted - small businessmen don't beat international corporations in court - the law is for the rich.

Can't replicate the well known branded logo shape (jagged out arch over a trapezium) but this was the text

Crosse & Blackwell are also part of Princes, but it appears Princes use that brand just for soups these days. So I doubt you'll find Crosse & Blackwell beans, but Branston are better anyway.

Creme Eggs previously used Dairy Milk, they changed the chocolate and it's much worse. The maker of Wagon Wheels always says that they haven't got smaller, and it's just that they appeared bigger because of us being kids.

Wagon Wheels. As a student in the late 50's I had a short part time job at the Weston's factory in Slough. Loved them until I saw how they were made and have never eaten one since.

Cross & Blackwell. My landlady when I worked in London in the mid-60's was in the team that carried out 10 o'clock quality control tests on their soups. 10 o'clock tested soups was their advertising jingle back in the 50's and prior to meeting her thought it was just that. Didn't really explain why they tested them at 10 o'clock though!

Baked Beans. Love any brand of baked beans but always add a splash of spicy red tomato ketchup before cooking.
