We seem to have had very little luck with home fixtures this year. Seem to have played at home several weeks in a row at times then gaps away from home for weeks which doesnt help crowds.
We've also had odd scheduling where we've Wakefield at home twice already but Huddersfield and Wigan havent been yet and we havent played Wakey away. Harder to get home and away fans in for a repeat of a fixture theyve only seen a few weeks ago.
Can only hope rumours of talks with Channel4 are true as they'd favour Saturday and Sunday afternoons and teatimes to suit their schedules. But SKY have RL by the balls so not getting my hopes up.
Im also supportive of banning other games from taking place when a TV game is on to try and drive the TV deal up. Even if that inconvinices me by Hull having to play on a different day. Currently its mad that a big game will be on TV, while 40k others are all in other grounds watching their own teams.

its also ludicrous were one team through a private tv deal{Catalan dragons}.get to play every home game on the same day while other teams get messed about.whoever in the rl allowed this to happen, needs sacking.

Wait until Toronto get into SL, then you'll be able to have a really good winge.

you are right there,we will get right royally shafted.wonder what would happen if hull announced they were negotiating a deal with a local media company to televise every home game on a sunday from next season.

Saturday night makes sense for Catalans due to the slightly cooler weather and attracting away fans, but you are right it gives them an advantage with the regularity of fixtures, Hull can also argue that this move doesnt help them attract away fans, I dont blame any Wigan fan for not bothering with the M62 on a weeknight.

The only way we are going to increase fans attending matches is to reduce live TV in the future 1) bin Thursday games 2) ensure the game is represented on terrestrial TV 3) get back to Weekend matches preferably Sunday so that fans can travel without huge traffic delays on the motorways. 4) have only one live TV game on a Friday night Sky can have that 5) Terrestrial TV have one TV match on a Saturday but not live and shown later in the evening like after match of the day if BBC 6) live match Sunday but kick off 18.00.Nothing on TV at that time so prime viewing for Sports fans and will not effect supporters at other games if kick offs are 15.00. Initially TV revenues may take a hit but in my opinion we would see a lot more interest in the game through Terrestrial Tv and more paying attending matches rather than sitting at home watching it on sky
