Wanderer did not submit his punts but tells us in a very polite apologia from his Appol (?) laptop, that he had techno failure on his ‘phone. Those with reasonable medium term memory will realise why Bongser might sympathise with this. Nul points, Wanderer (too bad, so sad as La Jeunesse says) BUT, as you posted your regrets whilst the matches were still in progress, you will be awarded your attendance joker fraction.
As per Rule letter waddevah (Bongser really must bookmark page 61 of this thread that he might apply his own rules correctly), this decision is (however misguided) final.
As it happens, Don Juan, Bongser zilched out on Uncle Rico’s Wire prediction league.
It would seem that his little superstitions regarding matches that he cannot attend only work where Leigh are concerned – and then only sometimes!
Horrified to find his replica shirt still in “the sin bin”, he set out for a hot Sunday’s stocktaking in a cool (temperature-wise at least) flouncy cotton shirt but with his Leigh shirt (that all week had been nestling amidst several pairs of increasingly fermenting socks) in a carrier bag along with a can of manly (not THAT Manly) deodorant. At 2.55pm he stripped down, conservatively applied the deodorant to his manly torso (his former six-pack has now become a much more macho one-pack), donned the Leigh shirt and (to prove that this isn’t a Party Political Broadcast) liberally applied more anti-pong to said garment before returning to labour.
Bongser’s more recent superstition concerns a spirit glass on his outside, rear-side window ledge, presumably from some long forgotten late night snifter. Bongser thinks that it was Vanners who way further up this thread stated that he’s a glass half full man. Well this glass was repeatedly fed by both a drip from the slightly over pressurised CH at The Towers and by rainfall. But, a little like terminal velocity for bodies in free-fall, the glass never became more than three quarters full as any drop falling from high thereafter displaced an equal volume that splashed out.
Better weather recently, CH not on, less rain and the sun evaporating the water – not good. On match days therefore, Bongser tops up the glass from the tap! Mad he knows.
To work! EVVO played a Jokermon. Let’s see how that panned out.

Swinton won at ‘Dale. Six correct, ‘Tommers & Chazzer missing out. No correct margins but closest were Pubbers, Vanners, Chayders (yet again) and Bongser.
Barrow ceased to be fly and bared their ribs at home to some French ticklers! Zools, Pubbers & Chayders however expected them to maintain their excellent recent form. Atomic closest on the margin.
Only The Bulls vs The Vikings left to examine and that Jokermon still on for EVVO.
Widnes however were not at the races and the Jokermon went for a burton. Too bad, so sad, mate. Closest on the margin (so near and yet so far) was Charlie – a mere FIFTY points under!! Five WPL points also to Atomic, Chayders & Bongser.
BBQ? That clown again atop the podium (25 points), Zools (18) & Vanners (15) balancing it.
WWB? 25 to Bongser, who a bl00dy week after playing and missing a Jokermon (it happens, EVVO) pocketed a poke for a total haul of 167 points.
