You didn't seriously think what you sent me was a decent idea did you?

Your Kiwi mate has also failed to tell you that the owner of Trailfinders stadium also has absolutely no interest in the Senior Rugby side and cares only for the Junior section for which he has a personal interest and is a very separate entity to the Senior section which is....let's be polite.....a little bit short of cash. He would be more than happy for it to be a wedding venue that has a junior rugby pitch for weekends.

That second paragraph is demonstrably not true. Who is it that you think funds Trailfinders professional side? It's Mike Gooley, the same dude that owns the venue (through a charitable trust).

What's the point? The club is in Super League, everyone has a seat who wants one
If that really is the attitude of DH then it is no surprise that we have seen the fan base drop so much. London have a bigger potential audience than any other SL club but while other sports (notably the US ones) have established large audiences over recent years our crowds have dwindled despite us offering an exciting game at a much more affordable price. Perhaps DH has no interest in the club surviving beyond his tenure but it needs to establish a bigger fan base to stand any chance of being sustainable.

Funny you should say that, next time you're at the ground read the letter on the wall headed up 'what have Trailfinders ever done for us'. Assuming you ever have or ever will attend a game.

Trust me, he has no interest, which is why they are skint. They buy their own kit for goodness sake whilst the youth have a deal with under armour

I'm at almost every game, home and away. Come and say hello.

Unfortunately I don't stand looking at walls though, I eat my meal and go up and sit and drink a few beers like any normal person.

The crowds are 3 times bigger than recent seasons, they are in Super League and could well stay there and have got rid of the gravy train mentality. I would suggest things are hell of a lot better.

In case you hadn't noticed we are in SL this season and the away teams bring more fans. We need to rebuild the home fan base not rely on the opposition. Besides, compared to our previous SL crowds this season's are nothing to shout about.

Compared to 2012 my local has nowhere near as many regulars and the only time it gets busy now is when the away darts or pools team come in.

However most of the other pubs on the same road are either shut down or absolutely on their a7se so I'm thankful that the landlord of my local was sensible enough to cut his cloth accordingly and ensure that the beer was decent, he gave his regulars very good prices and has avoided selling the place down the river to become a faddy theme pub that will close down within 6 months.

Not exactly sure what you mean pal. I'm at most home games and away games. What part of that is too much for me?

I will be sat with David in his box on Thursday working on Barneys marketing theories, come and say hello.
