Looks a decent signing. Hard and enthusiastic tackled well. Not a world beater but the sort of player who usually fits in well at Trinity.

How can you tell on one game. Clearly not been one so far or he wouldn’t be on SL but it’s a bit early to write him off. Becoming a world beater in SL is a lot easier than in the NRL.

should your overseas playing taking a quota spot be a world beater?

not a great signing as I said before but will do a job of tackling and few good hit ups

I’d also add be a specific kind of player the coach wants. You don’t have to be a world beater to be key to a team as a whole.

Just my opinion but I think CC has wanted a hole puncher out wide for a while now and FWIW I agree with him. I think he thought he had that in PP but must have lost patience.

He looks that kind of player to me and seems to have no fitness issues.

Well first up, there are two positions in the second row. Secondly he is a different type of player.
I am only assuming but we bought him to break the line and that he seems to do better than Ashurst yes.

Change the record mate. No offence but I’ll take CC judgement over yours any day, especially considering how good his previous signings have been ie Fifita and non have been duffers even PP had a good first season.

Add to that, 2nd rower wide out runner each side & or one relief player from the bench, he has also played loose forward, so various options as forwards do get injured, very rarely do forwards play all season, every match !
