Maurice has sadly passed away at the age of 83. One of Fax's greatest ever coaches and one of the game's greatest characters. His teams brought me some of my best ever memories as a Fax fan.

Sad day indeed. Agree with Huddshay some fantastic memories when the club was down and out and had a team of 'nobodies and rejects' from other clubs, for nothing, as we had nothing. Semi final of Challenge Cup and Final of Yorkshire Cup from memory on a complete shoestring. Top coach and real character of the game. Was also on BBC commentary team when we won the Challenge Cup in 1987. Thanks for the memories Maurice.

As grittier a coach as he was a player, great memories about him. condolences to his family.
My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.
