With the players to come back we should be ok and pick up enough points at home to avoid bottom. But that is not good enough and yet another season of bilge. The squad looked decent on paper and still does but we can't get them all on the park and doubt we ever will? Change the players we call turnstiles yet the new larker makes same misses. No conviction or pride in defence and that's a theme whatever the coach. Back to basics needed.Sort the defence out then we have half a chance. We know we can score points but not enough players wanting to roll sleeves up.abd do the ugly stuff. Will wait to see what Sheens says about that 2nd half but he should be going ballistic at them? Problem is I think he's at the stage of career that it doesn't hurt him like it did or should.

he made the same excuses he normally does, never heard him say i was wrong not to make hooker a priority at the start of the season ,if we win 1 game in 6 he always thinks of the game we won not the other 5, how a coach can make excuses and not react to some of the feeble defending made by the same culprates time and time again is beyond me the hole is getting bigger and he cannot fill it he should do the right thing and let someone else have a go

Re: Huddersfield : Sat May 18, 2019 6:20 am
Having watched us for 40 years and sponsored us for the last 5 I've never been this disappointed I've laid off the criticism while we had so many out but last night's team sheet was good enough to do the job I think it was an nba star who said I can accept defeat I cannot accept a lack of effort. I think we're in that situation now and I've no idea how we're gonna change it. I won't single out anyone but I wish we had someone in the team who would lock the changing room door ala Ellis and scare the poop out of those locked inside, building a team mentality in business is key to success, rugby is a business, we don't seem to have a team mentality. It seems to have got to the point where players just don't wanna work for each other without the ball. I'm too fed up to rant. There's a chap who seems to want to return to rugby league in a coaching role who would certainly wouldn't stand for the defensive nonsense that were serving up shaun wane even now stood at the changing room door awaiting our powder puff defenders, we'll I tell you I'd not wanna be a player having to explain my efforts to him last nite.

Heard this from a few Rovers fans in the past few weeks and I can't understand it. Rovers and London are the only 2 teams in the league that have scored under 300 points. Rovers are the second worst team at scoring points.

These 15 games winning only 4 will obviously affect that statement but last few year without looking at stats it's felt like we had points in us.Problem being we ship them in just as freely.Think this is why P Clarke often states he loves watching The Rovers on Sky as ww can be decent attacking. Unlike some teams who often stink the tv out.( Saying this I'd happily grind a few ugly wins out at present).Could well be bottom come next Sunday so the threat is real and the club from top to bottom must realise this. Problem is Sheens doesn't seem worried at all?

At his age, you expect him to remember that much? He can’t even remember his own players names half the time. Give him another 3 year contract I say.

Can't keep using injuries as an excuse Craig, you had a decent side on paper on Friday, those out wouldn't make a that big a difference.

At the moment Wakey, Hull, Cas and Catalans, all have more injuries than you and are picking up results. I think it's time to admit that you aren't very good, recruitment hasn't been good enough and a lot of the blame is Sheena.

Just watched the highlights from Friday, Hall is very good with ball on hand, but I don't think I've seen a worse one on one defender than him in SL, a couple of his attempts are truly pathetic.

It has to be Sheena time to go doesn't it?

Scoring points goes hand in hand with defending though. If you are poor defensively you are going to spend a lot of your sets on the back foot in bad field position. It's hard to score a lot of points in that situation regardless of how good the attack is.

Rovers do have some good attacking threats, but it doesn't matter of they spend half their time stood under their own posts.

Oh dear. Looking Prime candidates to be relegated for me.
Eveytime Huddersfield got a penalty they scored. Every time we conceded a penalty we sulk rather than knuckle down.
Too many terrible defenders who fall off tackles led by McGuire, Keinhorst, Atkin, Vaivai, Lee.
How Webster has kept his job over the past few years i don't know.
Compare our recruitment to Salford 's over the past 2 seasons and it's embarrassing.
We can't get out act together since Morgan left.
Players like Griffin, Welham, Cook, Eden, Clark, have left and become far better players. This has been going on too long. I don't blame Sheens. There too nice an attitude and people like Smith and Webster set the culture.

Have those teams more injuries? Radford himself was spouting "Us still had 7 blokes out" Who would have played yesterday if all fit? Houghton Manu Burrito? That's about it.Bowden Tuimavvve may change place with Fash Griff but for me don't make the 17.So 3 out. Wakey have Brough Johnson Tupou but are letting forwards to to bring in Sau? Catalans Broughton Tomk who else ? Cas have fair few but Moors Gale Shenton stand out. Wakey and Cas it's key players moreso than huge numbers it seems? We have Wallis retired.Greenwood gone for season. Scruton seemingly done? Jewitt similar.Quinlan missed 20ish games.Lunt hardly played .Lee, Masoe and Garbutt and Lannon just back. So 5 or 6 out of 17 and 2 not match fit.Started the season with 6 props and 2 or 3 who could cover but only having 1 or 2 fit for large parts is what has done us harm. There does seem to be a few trickling back now though so hopefully that's the worse passed.Fc s 13 match streak was put down to injuries yesterday's game was won despite injuries.Dont believe the HDM fake news.
